Bots Guide

This page is an Overview of Cloudflares bot Solution.

Bot Fight Mode

Bot fight is a free plan available to all customers. You can toggle it in in Firewall > Bots. This plan detects simple bots (from cloud ASN's) and headless browsers. Cloudflare takes action against these bots by issuing a computationally expensive challenge.

Super Bot Fight Mode

Super Bot Fight is a plan for pro customers. It is enabled in Firewall > Bots. This mode will detect simple bots and headless bots. Cloudflare will allow customers to take action by choosing whether to allow, block, or challenge. This mode has limited analytics in Bot Report.

Bot Management for Enterprise

This plan is added to Enterprise plans by your account team. To enable Cloudflares Solutions Engineering team will do a quick onboarding. This plan detects simple, sophisticated, headless browsers and domain specific anomalies. The actions taken against bots will be the choice of the customer with several options, including block, CAPTCHA challenge, and JS challenge. There is a dedicated Bot Analytics tool, available in Firewall.
