Cloudflare Image Optimization

Cloudflare Images: Set up an image pipeline in minutes. Build a scalable image pipeline to store, resize, optimize and deliver images in a fast and secure manner.

Cloudflare Image Resizing: This feature is currently available for Pro, Business, and Enterprise customers. With Image resizing, you can transforem images on Cloudflare's edge platform. You can resize, adjust quality, and convert images to WebP or AVIF format on demand. Cloud flare will also auto cache every derived image.

Polish: Cloudflare's Polish is a one-click optimization product that auto optimizes images in your site. Polish strips metadata from images and reduces image rise through lossy or lossless compression to accelerate the speed of image downloads.

Polish Compression Options:

Lossless- Attempts to strip most metadata, like EXIF data. Doesn't effect image quality, it is effectively identical to the original.

Lossy- Strips metadata by about 15%. When uncompressed Lossy will reduce the file size about 48%. Lossy only applies compression to JPEG.

WebP- WebP will convert files to WebP and cache the image. This will make the image about 26% smalled compared to Lossy 17%. This will effect the images quality.
